This cliff cypress is harvested from the towering mountains of Xizang. Its roots plunge deep into the crevices of the cliff. Tempered by a hundred years of time, roots and stone fuse tightly into an integrated whole.

The main trunk of the cypress withered naturally after being felled by the ancients. After another hundred years of wind and frost weathering, most of its outer bark decayed, yet the heartwood attained superb aging. When the rotten outer layer is stripped away, an enchanting reddish texture unfolds within. A refreshing milky aroma lingers all around.

The upward curve of the root resembles a bird ready to take flight, or flames dancing in the wind, or even a snail crawling diligently, vividly lifelike. It is truly a rare fine specimen of root-embracing-stone cliff cypress.
